Criteria for the specific measurement of Plasmin Inhibitor activity using an enzymatic procedure
نویسنده
چکیده
There is a lack of well-established criteria for the specific measurement of fibrinolytic parameters. On behalf of the SSC, the subcommittee on Fibrinolysis started a process to develop criteria for the specific measurement of fibrinolytic variables. This report describes the criteria for the specific measurement of plasmin inhibitor activity. In summary, a plasma deficient in plasmin inhibitor should show an activity close to 0%. Plasma containing only the non-plasminogen binding form of plasmin inhibitor should show an activity nearby the activity of a plasma deficient for plasmin inhibitor. Other inhibitors of plasmin, like a 2 -macroglobulin, antithrombin in the presence of heparin, and C1esterase inhibitor should not interfere in the assay at the level usually found in pathological conditions or at the higher normal level.

Effects of enzymatic degradation on the subunit composition and biologic properties of human factor VIII.
Human factor VIII was purified from cryoprecipitate and subjected to enzymatic degradation with plasmin, trypsin, chymotrypsin, and thrombin. The reactions were monitored by sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS)-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis and by measurement of four biologic properties, namely, procoagulant activity, ristocetin cofuctor activity, precipitation by heterologous antibody, and neutra...

Background: Plasminogen has a central role in fibrinolyrtic system can activate through various activators (PAs) to its active form plasmin and perfoem its vital function that is fibrin clot lysis. Furthermore the fibrinolyrtic system plays a major role in angiogenesis. The fibrinolyrtic system activation control cell migration and invasion. In addition to this, plasmin regulates tumor growth. ...

Background: Human Cu/Zn superoxide dismutase (hSOD1) is an antioxidant enzyme with potential as a therapeutic agent. However, heterologous expression of hSOD1 has remained an issue due to Cu2+ insufficiency at protein active site, leading to low solubility and enzymatic activity. Objectives:The effect of co-expressed human copper chaperone (hCCS) to enhance the solubility and enzymatic act...
متن کاملThe plasmin inhibitor of human plasma. IV. Its action on plasmin, trypsin, chymotrypsin, and thrombin.
Purified al-proteolytic inhibitor from human plasma was shown to inhibit trypsin, chymotrypsin, plasmin, and thrombin. This inhibitor is probably identical with the inhibitor previously known as serum trypsin inhibitor, al-antitrypsin, or antiplasmin. The enzymes were affected by the inhibitor via two different mechanisms. Trypsin and chymotrypsin reacted instantaneously in stoichiometric manne...
